I wrote this from a place of passion and deep understanding. Please take your time to read this brief analogy. I hope that it resonates with you and helps create a shift in your perspective.

Healing Begins Now.

Losing someone you love, or being stuck in a negative loop, is like being anchored in water that is sometimes still and sometimes turbulent.


Just when you think you're ok, the water moves and bridges over you. You begin to drown, you gasp for air, you think you're about to die.


Then the water settles, you come up for air, you take a deep breath, you feel safe, everything is ok. You made it another day. You survived the wave.


But before you know it, you're under again. And every time gets worse. You're getting exhausted, but you have hope, because it always passes.


You're just surviving.


All your focus is on getting through the next wave. You're so devoted to your survival; you're giving it everything you've got. You will make it. But you'll never be free.


You will always be in that same spot in the water, anchored to the ocean floor, fighting to stay alive another day.


And then one day, something shifts, and you realize you don't need to go through ongoing hell; you just have to release yourself from the anchor.


Your perspective in survival shifts.


It won't be easy. It means you have to go under the water that makes you feel so anxious. You don't want to risk going there. What if you get stuck trying to remove it?

But what if you don't?


What if you face your fear and what if, after a few tries, you break free?


You wonder what shore would feel like. What if you could sit on the sand and watch the water you were once drowning in? You feel an ache in your soul; you get emotional just thinking about the feeling. You realize it's possible, so you dive down and give it all you've got.


That is what healing looks like.

That is what breaking free of negative cycles feels like.


It's facing the unbearable and realizing its ok.

You will be ok.


Identify your anchor, and when you’re ready, let go.

Survival may keep you alive. Perspective will set you free.
